    Cadet Meeting Recap / Review
    Topic of the date: DUI
    Meeting Location: Acworth Police Department
    Instructor: Cpl. Mistretta

    c/Captain Mistretta called the meeting to order at 18:30 hrs.

    Other Important Information:
    1. Don’t forget to check the BAND APP
    2. Fundraiser

    c/Sergeant Combs lead the unit in physical training.
    Physical training consisted of: push ups, sit ups, shuttle run, and sprints.

    c/Lieutenant Padilla lad the unit in drill training.
    Drill training consisted of basic movements, salute, and marching.

    Training Topic lead by Cpl. Mistretta (Mentor)

    DUI
    Cpl. Mistretta presented a powerpoint lesson on impaired drivers (a copy of the PowerPoint can be found in the BAND App in the training folder)

    Cadets practiced doing Walk and Turn and One Leg Stand.

    Cadets were given a sheet with all the DUI Clues and instructions for doing field sobriety.

    The following were absent:
    Cadet 4 – couldn’t attend due to homework
    Cadet 5 – couldn’t attend due to being sick
    Cadet 6 – no response

    c/Captain dismissed the unit at 21:00 hrs.
    Next meeting will be at the Acworth Police Department old jail on August 13, 2024.
