Awarded to those Cadets who complete one year of satisfactory service in the Unit.
A silver star device may be awarded for each additional year of satisfactory service.
A gold star device may be awarded for a total of five years of satisfactory service.
The recognition is a red ribbon bar.

The mission of the Acworth Police Department Public Safety Cadets program is to provide young adults with a realistic introduction to law enforcement and to prepare them for a future career in public safety. The purpose of this program is to challenge Cadets to strive for academic excellence, give to their community through service, grow into productive members of society, and develop skills to become leaders. Finally, regardless of a Cadet’s future career goals, this program will ensure that every young man and woman will leave becoming a positive ambassador to the profession of law enforcement.
