May be awarded upon the accumulation of 100 hours of community service, including crowd or traffic control, parking service, community events support, etc. Service must be preapproved and logged by the Unit Mentor.
The recognition is a blue and yellow ribbon bar.

The mission of the Acworth Police Department Public Safety Cadets program is to provide young adults with a realistic introduction to law enforcement and to prepare them for a future career in public safety. The purpose of this program is to challenge Cadets to strive for academic excellence, give to their community through service, grow into productive members of society, and develop skills to become leaders. Finally, regardless of a Cadet’s future career goals, this program will ensure that every young man and woman will leave becoming a positive ambassador to the profession of law enforcement.
