May be awarded upon completion of the basic 8 hours of crime prevention instruction as well as an additional 8 hours of training in areas such as neighborhood watch, home security survey, and bicycle registration. The award is presented to Cadets who participate in at least three departmental crime prevention projects with a total of 25 hours of activity.
The recognition is a green and gold ribbon bar.

The mission of the Acworth Police Department Public Safety Cadets program is to provide young adults with a realistic introduction to law enforcement and to prepare them for a future career in public safety. The purpose of this program is to challenge Cadets to strive for academic excellence, give to their community through service, grow into productive members of society, and develop skills to become leaders. Finally, regardless of a Cadet’s future career goals, this program will ensure that every young man and woman will leave becoming a positive ambassador to the profession of law enforcement.
